Admission Rules
INTERMEDIATE
COURSES
Admission to the College is by application, and a
Common Entrance Examination. Forms may be obtained from the office during
working hours. Students are admitted on the basis of academic record. However
character, past school records, sporting skills and motivation are also
considered. In some cases there will be an interview. All students are required
to sign an undertaking to fulfill College requirements in conduct and academics.
There are normally no casual or part-time students. The College reserves the
right to apply its own admission criteria as an independent and autonomous
institution. The decision of the Principal is final. No change of subject will
normally be allowed. Therefore it is extremely important to choose the
combination carefully. A list of courses and prescribed textbooks will be issued
and students are required to purchase some of these after admission. Application
for admission to the First Year Intermediate class will begin soon after the
announcement of the Peshawar Board S.S.C. (matriculation) result and will
continue for up to ten days
DEGREE COURSES
B.A and B.Sc students must also apply within ten days of their previous results. Please note that Edwardians are not automatically accepted back into the 3rd year. The admission Committee weights the previous record and general attitude of a student at par with his/her academic attainments. Attendance and monthly test records are also considered. No student is admitted who attended less than 75% of his/her classes in the second year, or who was negligent in his/her pre-board studies. Fresh students, Edwardians and outsiders, who have passed H.S.S.C. (F.A. and F.Sc.) first time in the current year, take precedence over previous students who have passed or improved their marks at a second attempt. Only A, B, C grade passes in H.S.S.C. (F.A and F.Sc.) will be admitted to the 3rd year courses. D grade passes are not normally admissible at Edwardes
HND COURSES
The College is an approved center for the BTEC qualifications. 2-years courses leading to the HND (Higher National Diploma) of the U.K. are currently available in Business Studies and in Computer Studies. This is an internationally recognized qualification ratified by academic and Professional Bodies. Candidates achieving good results may proceed to a third year in certain U.K. Universities leading to a Bachelar's degree.
A LEVEL COURSES
Applications are accepted from male or female students
following “O” level or “I.G.C.S.E” results. Applicants will be interviewed prior
to admission.
